Everyone is welcome

Free conversation sessions are for Canadian citizens, immigrants and refugees who are 19 years of age and older. We have something for everyone, from beginner to advanced.

Learn at your own speed

There are four levels of conversation sessions. We will help find the right session for you. Small groups of 6-10 people give everyone an opportunity to practice. Sessions are informal with trained facilitators – members of the local community or UBC students– there to guide you.

Choose a session that works for you

We offer sessions from Monday to Thursday every week. Each session is 75 minutes long. Sessions are free but you need to register in person.

English Conversation activities
