About the event:

In today’s rapidly evolving global landscape, frontline staff face unique challenges in serving aging immigrants, particularly in multicultural hubs like Toronto and Vancouver. In this talk, Professor Lu Wang will talk about what she learned through community-based research about the coping strategies adopted by older Chinese immigrants during the COVID-19 pandemic and their diverse health practices. The talk will focus on the implications for service delivery, practice, use of technology and health policy concerning older immigrants.

This event is organized by the UBC Learning Exchange in partnernship with the UBC Centre for Migration Studies and the UBC Department of Educational Studies.
