    Reading Week Projects 2003

    During this year's spring break 38 UBC students took part in four community service projects: three in Vancouver and one in Guelph, Ontario. The projects stimulated students' thinking about important social issues and enabled students to apply their enthusiasm and energy to projects that benefited community organizations.

  • Reading Week Community Service Projects

    Successful applicants will take part in an exciting week of hands-on team work and experiential learning. Teams of students will do short-term projects with community organizations and learn about urban issues such as poverty, hunger, racism, and the shortage of affordable and liveable housing. Students will work with peers from a variety of faculties and programs while being challenged to think critically about citizenship and community on a personal level.
