The exhibition: Community Hearts features the work of Indigenous Women Artists and  community members who participated in their workshops, hosted at the Hillcrest Community Centre and UBC Learning Exchange. The workshops engaged people from varying backgrounds and perspectives to learn about Indigenous history and culture through arts and crafts.

The artists: Indigenous Women Artists is a collective of Indigenous artists from across North America including the Musqueam, Nisga`a, Tsimshian, and Squamish Nations. They create pieces that dig into traditional and contemporary techniques inspired by their Indigenous teachings, fused with a contemporary feel. Their work uses mixed media including painting, jewelry, crafts and fashion.
