Vancouver Public Library presents: New Arts Audience Project

Co-sponsored by the UBC Learning Exchange and the UBC School of Music

The UBC Learning Exchange, in partnership with the Central Branch of the Vancouver Public Library, sponsors this popular concert and lecture series, located in the spacious Alice MacKay Room of the central VPL branch. This series is presented monthly on weeknight evenings and the occasional lunch-hour.

Each session is hosted and taught by the Learning Exchange’s Music Coordinator and pianist Karen Lee-Morlang. Each event features students and alumni from the UBC School of Music, the Vancouver Academy of Music as well as other musicians from all over the Lower Mainland.

  • Celebration of St. Cecilia
  • History of the Carols
  • Beyond the Ivories: a beginner’s Guide to the piano
  • Classical 101 “Medieval and Renaissance Music”
  • Classical 101 “Baroque and Classical Music”
  • Classical 101 “Romantic and 20th Century Music”

Where: Alice MacKay Room Lower Level Central Library, 350 West Georgia St.
Cost: Admission is FREE, but seating is limited. Registration is required
